When people or companies are looking for a company specialized in the field of digital marketing, their quest for a proper candidate almost always starts on the Internet and more specifically on Google. Therefore a digital marketing company’s website often acts as a business card which should convince visitors to request a quote or to at least contact that particular company for some more information. The PSD to Wordpress project which had to be executed for this particular company was a perfect example because the company was aware of the importance of their website. We were delivered a web design which had been completely optimized to answer a client’s potential desires and questions and to guarantee an optimized conversion rate, inclusive a fully-responsive design of course.
Discussing the features and functionalities
The first and often most important part of the whole project involves the detailed review of all designs and features and functionalities in order to set clear expectations and to avoid future surprises or misunderstandings. This client was pretty familiar with the newest innovations and techniques and we therefore managed to come to a quick understanding and agreement. Let’s take for example the background video which needs to be activated automatically, advanced hover functionalities and scripts which enhance the client interaction and experience. Probably the most challenging part of the project nevertheless was the 8 days deadline which made us keep on developing also during the weekend in order to comply with that due date. Upon answering all questions from both sides and upon reaching a common agreement we could start the actual PSD to Wordpress conversion process.
PSD to Wordpress
The various designs to Wordpress theme conversion are sooner said than done, especially taking into account such a challenging deadline. The project process was pretty clear; first we would convert all pages to HTML, CSS and JavaScript after which this HTML would then be converted to Wordpress. Next the Wordpress admin panel was developed custom-made allowing the client to easily adjust the content which was very important because the website would function by means of various custom-made post types and because we had to keep a clear overview. As soon as all these project steps would be completed, we would review the website various times on different devices to minimize the number of bugs.
Many hands make light work
Initially we assigned two developers to this project because many hands make light work. After a few days and with the challenging deadline approaching we decided to assign an additional developer to the project in order to complete the project a little bit earlier than expected so the client could thoroughly review his website. This proved to be a very good decision because we managed to deliver the project two days before the due date, providing the client this way two additional days to review the website and to start filling his website. This was highly appreciated by the client.
The delivery
Upon resolving the client’s feedback and upon making a few changes to the blog, we were ready for our final delivery. The final delivery consisted of installing the whole project on the client’s server whereby the client himself didn’t have to be worried about the installation. The client was really pleased with this service and after the delivery he was full of praise about the delivered PSD to Wordpress theme process.
