The Com goed owners contacted our company to realize the PSD to Wordpress process of their new website designs. Being designed many years ago and therefore being outdated their old website urgently needed to be replaced. Com goed had appealed to a webdesign company which was known to us because we had converted their Photoshop files to Wordpress before and of which we knew they produced high-quality PSD files containing the required layers. This meant these PSD files would ensure a rapid and smooth HTML and CSS process. Taking this advantage into account meeting the agreed strict deadline wouldn’t be a problem. Nevertheless we still aimed at delivering the project as soon as possible because the majority of our customers highly appreciate a pre-deadline delivery. The sooner a project is ready for business the happier our customers.

It all started with PSD to Responsive

When the order and the project steps were mutually agreed and after we had received the .PSD files and the non-web fonts via Dropbox, the PSD to Wordpress process could take off. As a first step in the process we converted everything to HTML and CSS. During this process we kept a close eye on browser compatibility and display of the website after which the website was made responsive by means of CSS3 Media Queries. To realize this important step we appealed to one of our PSD to Responsive developers who made sure the complete website was given a completely different structure to optimize the website’s tablet and smartphone display. Each of their visitors, no matter which device was used to visit the website, would now experience an optimized and user-friendly website. When the PSD to Responsive process was completed we installed everything on our server and we requested customer feedback.

First responsive then Wordpress

While our PSD to Responsive developer awaited the customer’s feedback we continued working on the conversion process. The customer’s feedback implementation didn’t stop our PSD to Wordpress developers from integrating Wordpress by means of HTML files to PHP conversion and by means of inserting the various Wordpress codes into the same HTML. The HTML files developed into php format template files which would become the actual Wordpress theme as soon as everything would be completed. Because the HTML was, as always, designed in a proper way it took our PSD to Wordpress developers only little time to convert all HTML files into a fully functional Wordpress theme.

A multi-lingual website

By making use of a yet existing plugin we ensured the complete website to be available in various languages. By clicking on one of the flags at the top of the website a visitor can easily switch languages, which improves user-friendliness extremely. Besides, our customer can easily add additional multi-lingual pages by simply selecting a language in the backend which will duplicate pages and afterwards the text can be adjusted to the preferred language like English, Dutch or German.

Deadline halved

As soon as the PSD to Wordpress developers had completed the whole theme, our PSD to Responsive developer had already handled the customer’s feedback (which was limited) by updating the style sheet. This prompt feedback handling led to a happy and positively surprised customer who received his complete website after only 8 days while initially a deadline of 3 weeks had been set. A fully functional responsive and multi-lingual Wordpress theme delivered in only 8 working days… a project of which our PSD to Responsive and our PSD to Wordpress developers had every right to be very proud about.
