Thanks to amongst others the technological development the popularity of solar energy is on the rise. This development of course can’t continue without a proper PSD to Wordpress responsive design because there is no denying website consultation via laptops and computers but especially via tablets and smartphones is up and coming. That’s also why Island Solar requested the design of a new full responsive website. Because our client acknowledged he had no website design knowledge at all and initially failed to understand how to add new content or how to make future website adjustments we recommended Wordpress as the ideal Customer Management System because it allows easily adding, adjusting or removing content.
It all starts with the design
When considering a PSD to Responsive project, many of our clients deliver at least three different PSD file versions of each website page. Why? Because they like to provide their own content position input for computers, tablets and smartphones. Island Solar though took a different approach whereby they provided us with only one Photoshop file per website page, letting us decide how to make the whole project responsive in order to successfully complete a PSD to Wordpress project. Luckily enough our developers dispose of the required experience and knowledge to create a logic website design and different display lay-outs, which were immediately approved by our client. It is of major importance to consider the responsive structure for the various devices in advance to avoid issues in the future. Upon approving the structure we could kick off the actual PSD to Wordpress process. First of all we designed the desktop HTML5 and CSS3. Next we chose to use the Foundation Framework in order to obtain an immediate overall screen display optimization (all tablets and smartphones). The website was now displayed in a similar and consistent way across the different browsers.
Wordpress as CMS
After completing the responsive part, we could kick off the real PSD to Wordpress process. This particular process didn’t contain many pages and because all pages contained various similarities a very fast Wordpress integration could be realized. A quick Wordpress integration resulted in a quick Wordpress theme design, which could be immediately installed on our test server to request some client feedback. We are very proud to inform you, which is rather exceptional, a full approval was received after the first review phase. Our PSD to Wordpress developers are only human and therefore minor flaws and bugs commonly occur, with the exception of this Wordpress theme of course. Because the website was immediately approved, we could install the website on the client’s server and we managed to complete the project within 4 days. A successful PSD to Wordpress theme conversion is a true source of pride, especially when confronted with a satisfied client! Because he was very satisfied about the project plan and the actual execution and follow-up the same client has already requested several new assignments.
