Quality demands perfection
Before we could actually kick off the PSD to Wordpress process, we needed to clearly determine all aspects of this new website. The design was already there, but all separate website elements needed to be discussed and analyzed in order to ensure a proper and smooth conversion process. We were for example confronted with a slide which at first sight seemed to be a simple slider containing 7 different slides. This classic slider had to become a parallax slider in which both the text and the different braces, bits and fraises had to be able to dynamically move one from another. We also needed to discuss the product pages in advance because there was a need to create an easy, logic and user-friendly structure. After this important analysis and discussion phase our PSD to Wordpress developers were ready for the next step in the process.
From PSD to Wordpress to PSD to HTML
We were finally ready to start the actual website development by first of all employing a few of our HTML and CSS developers to start the PSD to HTML process. This process, which contained various different pages, took about a week and a half, whereby most time was spent on the parallax slider which became subject of various feedback rounds because it was a very time-consuming job to align the speed and the dynamic movement of the different elements with the desires and requirements of the client. Luckily enough our developers are always in close contact with the client and they continue their efforts until full satisfaction of that same client. Upon completing and testing all HTML and CSS in various browsers we were ready for the actual PSD to Wordpress process.
Let’s start the Wordpress conversion
The front ens of the website was ready to use and the client clearly expressed his satisfaction. The next step involved one of our Wordpress programmers who had to build a Wordpress admin panel which could be easily used by the client to add new products or additional information. About a week passed and the result after that week was stunning! We couldn’t have thought of an easier admin panel and an easier way of adding products. Adding products had become a piece of a cake which made our customer the happiest man in the world. Upon resolving some minor flaws in the completed and fully-functional Wordpress website, we installed the whole project on our client’s server and he could start adding products and start showing his website to existing and new clients.
