We are very proud to present you our Content Verse PSD to Wordpress project. Content Verse has developed a content management software which allows users to scan documents in different kind of formats and with a wide variety of extensions. Afterwards these documents will be displayed in a clear overview in order for everyone, internal and external, to easily consult them and to easily archive them. Because of the large diversity of industry branches Content Verse disposes of an extended team of industry specialists which can deliver custom-made industry solutions. We acknowledge and welcome this type of software because an expanding organization has an expanding number of documents and an increasing need to properly archive these documents.
An almost unrealistic deadline
After Content Verse contacted our company to discuss the new PSD to Wordpress project it immediately became clear we were not only confronted with a large scale project but also with an almost unrealistic and very challenging deadline. We agreed the standard rate would be applied to convert the PSD files to a fully-functional Wordpress theme and we would also be granted an extra bonus if the deadline could be met. Because of the challenging deadline our PSD to Wordpress developers got off to a flying start by slicing the Photoshop files as a first step in the project. This PSD to Wordpress project initially requires Photoshop files to be converted to PHP to ensure a dynamic use by the Wordpress installation. In fact, the Wordpress installation contains a theme folder which will contain all the final PHP files. Next, this theme can be configured and installed via the admin panel.
Wordpress integration
We were on track and meeting the deadline therefore was still an objective. Our enthusiastic developers immediately focused on the next step which was the HTML and CSS Wordpress integration. Because we had already finished the HTML, CSS and cross browser check this process could be completed in the blink of eye. Next on the list was the HTML page conversion, a time-consuming effort due to the large number of pages. Nevertheless the experience and extended knowledge of our PSD to Wordpress developers proved decisive and we again succeeded to meet the deadline. As soon as we had dotted the “I”s we completed the demo server installation and we requested our client to review the project and to inform us about possible bugs.
Another happy customer
Because of the fast delivery and the strict deadline we were confronted with some minor flaws. Wisely enough we had set our internal deadline two days in advance providing us two extra days to handle and correct these minor flaws. Because it were very minor flaws we only needed a few hours though, allowing us to install the whole project on our client’s server one day before the deadline and allowing the client to start adding content and updating his blog. The client was very satisfied with the delivered project and with meeting the set deadline. If he still needs our help to adjust his current theme or to update his website we will always be at his service.
