Thanks to their true and never-ending passion for transport Vis been has become one of the most important European transport companies. No matter if it concerns road transport, waterway transport or railway transport, Vis been makes sure all supplies all delivered to the client within the agreed timeframe. Being active in the whole of Europe this company was looking for a website which could properly inform all European visitors and clients. We therefore opted for a full responsive website which would be properly displayed on normal desktops and laptops but which would also provide an optimized display for tablet and smartphone users. Wherever Vis been’s clients are located and whatever device they might use to visit their website, the website’s content will always be properly displayed with an optimized display quality. To serve the wide range of clients a multi-language website was developed in order for each potential client to choose his or her preferred language.
Before requesting our expertise, the client appealed to a design company to design a one-page website with various sliders, unfolding elements and parallax scrolling. The PSD to Wordpress conversion is common business for all of our programmers, if the whole project and its features have been clearly analyzed and agreed with the client in advance. Before starting the actual PSD to Wordpress process we therefore worked together with the client to agree all details and after this useful brainstorm session our programmers were ready to kick off the first project step, the PSD to HTML and CSS conversion.
The PSD to HTML and CSS conversion
The most time-consuming part of this project was without doubt the PSD to HTML and CSS conversion because we needed to deliver a full responsive HTML and CSS containing various parallax scrolling elements which needed to be properly displayed on all tablets and smartphones. While making the one-page website responsive our developers also needed to take into account the full responsiveness of the various sliders. Fortunately we have some excellent and passionate programmers and after only a few days they completed the whole PSD to HTML and CSS process and we were ready to start the PSD to Wordpress, or more specifically, the HTML to Wordpress process.
The integration of Wordpress in the HTML
The HTML and CSS were ready and had been tested in all major browsers and on all tablets and mobile phones. Everything was displayed properly and we could initiate the whole project to a fully-functional Wordpress theme whereby the client could easily adjust the website’s content and could easily add new website versions built up in new languages. Because it concerned a one-page website we only had to employ one programmer to develop the Wordpress theme. Fortunately we dispose of multi-year experienced programmers and therefore this specific developer needed only two days to deliver a fully-functional theme.
The finishing touch
Upon completing the project, we asked the client to review his website on our server. There were some minor feedback items which were resolved the same day resulting into a very happy client. Finally we installed the complete Wordpress website on the client’s server. He only needed to add some content himself after which he became the proud owner and administrator of a brand new Wordpress website. Another successful PSD to Wordpress project, completed to the full satisfaction of as well the client as our own development team.
